Metal and rust protection paints – rust protection and colour design in a single product
Metal and rust protection paints simultaneously serve to colour metals such as iron, steel, zinc and aluminum as well as to protect them against rust. These paints are available in various finishes for differing stress loads indoors and outdoors, in numerous colour shades and as effect paint. Special products are available for machines and for metal parts that become very hot during use.
Metal and rust protection paints fulfil two functions. They can be used to paint metal surfaces, because these paints are available in many colours, including gold, silver and copper. At the same time, the material is protected against corrosion by a coat of rust protection paint. The painting therefore extends the durability of fences, gates, metal furniture and many other objects made of metal. These protective paints are also available in special finishes for machines as well as for components which become very hot during use.
Paints for normal and high stress
Metal and rust protection paints are suitable for painting many metals such as iron, steel, aluminum and zinc. These paints are available for normal stress and for structural elements which are particularly exposed to the weather, such as a tin roof. Here, above all standing water can easily cause rust formation, therefore these metals need particularly good corrosion protection. Metal and rust protection paints can in most cases be selectively coated with a brush or a roller or sprayed with appropriate equipment.
Metal and rust protection paints with special properties
If you need particularly good rust protection for metal parts in outdoor areas, use the paint ADLER Ferro GSX in the desired colour shade for coating.
For less stressed metal parts, on the other hand, our metal paint Ferrocolor is sufficient. This synthetic resin paint is very scratch-resistant and robust after curing. In addition, we also produce an effect paint, giving you a wrought-iron appearance for fences, gates and other metal components.
For metal parts, such as stove pipes or components on vehicles which become very hot during use, our ADLER Ofenlack (stove paint), which is heat-resistant up to a temperature of 500 °C, is suitable. A further variant of our programme is the Express-Maschinenlack (Express machine paint) especially for devices and machines in trade, industry and agriculture, which we offer in many different colour shades. You can use our metal paints without primer.
If rust has already formed on the metal, a pretreatment with the rust remover or rust converter from our shop is recommended. It transforms the existing rust into passivating iron phosphate.
