Wood protection finish – beautiful protection for wood in house and garden
The natural grain of the wood is preserved with transparent wood protection and is partly intensified by the transparent wood finish. These wood protection finishes are available for indoor and outdoor applications, as thin-film and thick-coat glaze finishes as well as in numerous colours. With these products, furniture, windows, doors, garden houses and many other objects and components can be embellished and protected at home
The wood is protected against moisture, the sun's aggressive UV rays and also against fungi and many wood pests by means of a transparent wood finish. At the same time, transparent wood protection makes the grain of the wood very attractive. It remains visible after painting and is intensified a little by the transparent wood finish. Transparent wood protection is therefore suitable for all furniture and buildings for which the natural appearance of the wood is to be preserved.
Transparent wood finishes for indoor and outdoor use
Transparent wood protection is available for outdoor use and living areas. These two variants differ from each other, since wood on the terrace and in the garden needs a better protective layer than furniture in interior spaces. There the wood is often exposed to rain and wind and is also more easily afflicted by fungi and pests. In addition, the wood needs particularly good protection against blue stain, mould and the sun's UV rays. In the case of wood protection finishes for the interior, however, it is particularly important that these do not contain any harmful substances which are released into the ambient air after painting. For this reason, you should only use exterior and interior transparent wood finishes in the intended areas to achieve the desired effect.
Thin-film and thick-coat glaze finishes
Thick-coat glaze finishes offer particularly good protection against weathering and are therefore mainly used outdoors. They are used for the painting of window frames and doors.
Thin-film glaze finishes, on the other hand, are well suited as wood preservatives for furniture and doors in living areas, wall and ceiling panelling and garden furniture in protected locations.
As they are generally recognised as safe, products such as our water-based interior transparent wood finish are even suitable for painting in the children's room. Thin-film and thick-coat glaze finishes can be found in our shop ADLER Farbenmeister in many different colour shades matching the selected species of wood, colourless (Farblos) and white (Weiß). In addition, we produce transparent wood finishes with special effects, which give your furniture an antique appearance, for example. If you like the patina that forms on untreated wood outdoors, you can also help yourself to wood protection finishes like our Pullex Silverwood. You can also find suitable paintbrushes for coating in our shop.
