Wood protection primers – good protection against fungi, blue stain and pests

This blue stain occurs mainly in softwoods such as spruce or pinewood. In order to prevent all this damage from the outset, there are primers which act as a protective layer. They form the basis for further coating with a transparent wood finish or a wood protection paint.
Primers protect the wood outdoors
Wood protection primers are made in solvent-based or water-based form. They are thin and thus penetrate into the deeper layers of the wood. At the same time, they ensure a uniform surface, so that a uniform colour image is created after painting with a paint or a transparent wood finish. The natural grain of the wood is preserved when applying a primer and is also visible after further treatment with a wood protection finish.
